Soos Creek Botanical Garden Walk with Walt — CLASS IS FULL/REGISTRATION CLOSED

Members: $35, Non-members: $45

June 5, 2025 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Walt Bubelis will provide rich commentary as he guides us along the main paths of the Soos Creek Botanical Garden and Heritage Center, which features a pleasing range of native and exotic plants. The site’s 23 acres were part of the land the current owner’s Norwegian ancestors began purchasing in 1892. Today the garden boasts numerous prize specimens, some of which date back to its inception in the 1960s. The center is dedicated to sharing its various international, regional and historical horticultural inspirations while honoring the local history of the Soos Creek Plateau. After the tour, enjoy a picnic lunch on the grounds and explore other areas such as the aviary and rose garden.

Walt Bubelis is professor emeritus of horticulture at Edmonds College and a valued pillar of the local horticulture community. He is an active member on boards and committees at the UW Botanic Garden, Kruckeberg Botanic Garden and the Edmonds College horticulture program. He leads frequent tours and classes for many of the Puget Sound’s leading horticultural organizations.
