Forest Bathing at Kruckeberg Botanic Garden
Members: $40, Non-members: $50
May 29, 2025 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Discover the medicine of nature through a guided forest bathing experience in the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden led by Cascadia Forest Therapy’s founder Michael Stein-Ross. Forest bathing (or shinrin-yoku) encourages participants to move in nature at a slower pace and take in the atmosphere of the environment. Multiple scientific studies have shown that the practice lowers stress and blood pressure levels, while increasing immune system functioning. Michael will offer an evolving series of invitations crafted to help participants slow down and open their senses. This encourages mindfulness, which readies the heart and mind to be fully present in the natural world. He will hold space for everyone to arrive at their unique relationship with the Earth while offering opportunities to witness our shared connections. The experience will close with tea brewed from native plants and light healthy snacks.
